After watching the news and responding to my questions, you are to do the Identity Theft Webquest that is available on Moodle in Unit 1.  Theres a Word document full of questions and a place for you to dropbox your answers (all under Unit 1).  IF YOU CANNOT ACCESS MOODLE, JUST HAVE SOMEONE PRINT THE WEBQUEST FOR YOU.  Remember your username is probably firstname.lastanme.  It's been a while since we moodled.  There's a folder with all your passwords in a file folder with your Period listed on the tab.  Feel free to check there.

THIS SHOULD GO WITHOUT SAYING, BUT TREAT MY SUBSTITUTE WITH RESPECT.

EVERYONE MUST READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS...
I'm at the federal reserve today learning new and exciting ways to teach financial literacy.  Treat my substitute with absolute respect and complete the following steps:

1.  Watch the short video linked below and answer the questions.  You may need to copy and paste the web address into your internet browser.

2.  Have someone pass out the Integrated Project Assignment that should be in a folder on the table.

3.  Read Part 7 which requires you to complete a monthly budget for your business using Excel.  This is VERY similar to the personal budget you just created.

4.  Login to moodle (most of you used firstname.lastname as a user name, but if you need a reminder, those are in a folder labeled with your period number).

5.  Go to the Integrated Project section of our moodle site, Topic 3 I believe, and open the budget example I created for you.  This is an example only.  You will need to make changes in the income amounts and the expenses listed in order to fit YOUR business.  Do your best to create a monthly budget for your business that resembles the example I provided.  Help each other quietly. I'll help you tweak it when I return next week if necessary.

6.  While you're in moodle looking at the Integrated Project section, be sure you've uploaded Parts 1-6 already.

Watch the video linked below on emerging trends in business and technology.
Questions will follow.

Students- I am away on a field trip today.  I am certain I will hear only good things about my wonderful odd-day classes!  Start with CNN, answer questions thoughtfully, then I'll need someone to distribute budget projects.  They are on my desk.

Budget Projects Today- Pick up where we left off listing monthly expenses.  Just do your best, use the Internet, make educated guesses.  Then, open Excel, create a new spreadsheet, and do your best to list your income and expenses in a meaningful way.  Just try.  We can fix it later. ;-)
